Video Lesson: Diminished Scale
Speaking of Diminished, here is the video for Lesson 16 of my lesson series called, Going Modal!
This video will give you the Full-Diminished Scale, arpeggios and inversions. Massive value for free, with no obligation or requirement. You don't have to be a Site Member to access this lesson.
How About 5 Lessons?
The 5-Lesson Foundational Series teaches the Circle of Keys as an organizational mechanism by which you ensure that whatever you learn is drilled in every key in all possible positions. It also gives you a method to find any note, anywhere, without memorizing note names on every string. That is a beautiful thing!
Almost every lesson I teach presupposes these 5 lessons.
You can download the 5-Lesson Foundational Series right here with no further obligation or commitment:

Tune of the Month
Latter Rain
This is from my CD, Sound Tracks. This tune was written during the time I was exploring the types of chords that eventually became codified in my Unique Chord Voicings lesson series. One of the things I do when I'm exploring new things (to me!) is to write a song that incorporates what I discover. It helps me remember it, and illustrates contexts in which those things can be used.
“Latter Rain” was actually included on the CD twice, one electric and one acoustic. This is the electric version:
