Are you a new Site Member? Don't understand what I mean by, "Unique Voicings?" Check out the blog: Altered States - Unique Voicings for an explanation.
All previous Unique Voicings lessons can be accessed FREE by Site Members from the FREE LESSONS page in the Members Only area of the website.
New Blog Categories
I've started a couple of new blog categories; both of them involve free lessons. They're brand new so there's only a couple of lessons per category right now but they'll be more coming!
Rut Busters: Little tricks and pieces of theory that will help knock you out of the rut you're in. I would say these are for advanced beginners to intermediate players - they assume you've progressed to the point that you have a rut!
Quick & Dirty: A quick & dirty approach to a given subject. That is, the most amount of functional stuff for the least amount of effort. These lessons will be a little more involved than Rut Busters and will generally follow the outline of my book, Vertical Truth: Chordal Mechanisms for the Guitar but will not be as exhaustive as the method. Only the most usable possibilities will be covered.
Blogs Published Since Last Newsletter
Hey, remember in the last newsletter I said,
"Unless I think of something else, there will be one more lesson in the Unique Voicings series. After that, all 31 lessons will be made available to site members at a Members-Only Discount as a PDF download."
Well, big surprise - I thought of something! So there will be one more lesson in the Unique Voicings series and then all 32 lessons will be made available to site members at a Members-Only Discount as a PDF download!
So starting in March I'm going to be doing some beginner and intermediate-level lessons. They will be stand-alone, one-off lessons. No more series that take over 2 years to get through for a while.
With that in mind, shoot me an email or text about what you'd like me to cover. I'm open to ideas and suggestions.
